Documentation Foot Pedal (with Multi-Finger Hands)
With multi-finger hands such as Wuji Hand 2, the operator wears data gloves and cannot press the controller enable buttons by hand. The controllers are mounted on holders on the gloves, and the enable function is assigned to a USB foot pedal.
- Connect the foot pedal to a USB port on the electrical box and install the driver (see the setup guide).
- With all teleoperation services stopped, change the input setting to “Multi-finger hand” and save.
- Assign the pedal functions in the teleoperation software.
- The arms follow the gloves only while the pedal is pressed, and stop when it is released.
Multi-finger configurations use incremental mode (the current position becomes the reference each time you enable) instead of absolute position mode.
Caution: never press the menu button on the right controller while the pedal is pressed; the arms may drop or collide. Always take your foot off the pedal when not operating.
